About Us

Eastleigh Baptist Church is a vibrant, mainstream Baptist Church situated in the middle of the town. It has a membership that is committed to the service of Christ in both the church and the local community, upholding a long tradition of being a strong witness to those around.

The church was established around 1881 and the first minister called in 1891, the present Desborough Hall was the church building erected in 1896, The church expanded and the present church was built in 1903. A further range of buildings was built in 1972, but these were demolished in 1997 to enable the first phase of the Wells Place Centre to be built.

We now have the main church building plus the Wells Place Centre, which is a three storey building with a coffee shop, kitchen and a range of conference and meeting rooms used by the church and hired out for many community and other uses.

Our worship style is a mixture of old and new, reflecting the broad age range of the church.

There is a diverse and very active range of organisations within the church - see church groups...
