Meet the Ministry Team

David - Team Leader

​Rev David Ford is our team leader. David joined EBC in Sept 2022 following 10 years in ministry in the West of England. He is married to Jen and has three children. David's passion and focus is for discipleship and pastoral care and helping the church be faithful to what God is calling them to be. David also loves pretty much every sport - enthusiastically watching, reluctantly participating. He also enjoys reading about history, pretends to enjoy reading complicated theology and loves spending time with his family.

Chris - Youth & Children's Minister

Rev Chris Walker is our Youth and Children's Minister. Chris joined the ministry team in 2007 as the Youth and Children’s Worker. He studied Youth and Community Work and Applied Theology at Bristol Centre for Youth Ministry and became the Youth and Children’s Minister in 2011. He is married to Narelle and they have two children. He enjoys being a Dad, gaming, watching films and hanging out with friends.

Toby - Community Minister

Toby Dodson is our Community Minister. Toby joined the ministry team in Feb 2013 after working in the charity sector for 20 years with homelessness and drug and alcohol recovery. He is married to Catherine, and they have three children. Toby is a sports lover, but is most passionate about cricket and as such he is always on the lookout for new recruits for the church team. As well as 'general' ministerial duties, Toby's particular brief is serving at the Wells Place Centre.

Emma - Church Operations Manager

Emma Leggett is our Church Operations Manager and joined the ministry team in May 2017. Previously she was our Wells Place Centre Manager and before that worked in the pensions industry. Emma is married to Robert and has three children. Emma enjoys spending time with the family, watching films and reading. Emma leads the Operations Team of paid staff.

​The church is served by the Leadership Team. This group consists of the Ministry Team and the deacons who have been prayerfully appointed by the church meeting. They are corporately responsible for the spiritual and practical leadership of the church and implementing decisions made by the church.
